Your hosts Nicholas Meyer and Margaret Olney, have been in the hospitality industry for many years, as the principals of Downtown Suites Ltd and are pleased to welcome you to their heritage home in Kitsilano–the perfect vacation rental or home for your extended stay in Vancouver. The OM house is named for Olney and Meyer but we have also tried to live up to the meaning of OM – creating a peaceful and quiet vibrational experience.

The home is a wonderful 1912 heritage house located in the quiet north of fourth section of Kitsilano, one block to the water’s edge and 3 blocks to Jericho Beach. Located one block off of Point Grey Road on the SW corner of First Avenue and Collingwood Street, a quiet maple tree lined street, this Craftsman Style home has been lovingly restored.

The great location, is steps to Jericho Beach, Fourth Avenue, Banyan Books, and some delightful restaurants, the University of British Columbia (UBC), Pacific Spirit Park and the University Endowment Lands, Spanish Banks, the Chan Center, Locarno Beach, Jericho Sailing Club, The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, Jericho Tennis Club and Brock House Senior Centre at Jericho beach.

Enjoy the jogging trails, kayaking, sailing, tennis, walking, yoga, fitness or contemplation and meditation that the area has to offer. Kitsilano is a thriving community, once known for its alternate philosophy it is now a pleasant mix of alternate and traditional values but arguably, you'll definitely get the best organic food, yoga and interesting boutiques and eclectic stores here. There is plenty of street parking by the home which is located just 3 short blocks from several trolley routes. Downtown or The University of British Columbia are both just a short trolley or 10 min drive away.    

We are proud to offer two self-contained ground floor suites each with their own private entrance and patio garden area. Totally renovated, the suites offer fully equipped kitchens with maple cabinetry, modern appliances and laminate floors, Persian carpets, leather furniture, a full cable TV package, laundry shared between the two suites, both are tastefully furnished and appointed.

Our suites are very quiet and peaceful, we have aimed to create a tranquil atmosphere that is both contemplative and meditative enhanced by water features and plants.
